Bullying's Ripple Effect
How It Hurts More Than Just the Target. Bullying isn't just a playground scuffle. It's a toxic wave that crashes over the entire family. When a youth is bullied, the fear, anxiety, and isolation they experience can spread to everyone who loves them. Families feel helpless, siblings witness pain, and homes become heavy with worry. The laughter and joy of family life can be overshadowed by the constant undercurrent of fear. This isn't just about one child; it's about the well-being of the entire family unit.
Empower UP Weekend Program
Is a curriculum-based educational, STEM, bullying prevention, and cultural enrichment weekend program. The program serves children in current grades K-5 for 8 weeks and integrates reading, cultural arts, STEM, conflict resolution, and civic action in an activity-based curriculum to promote social, cultural, and community awareness. Families are encouraged to volunteer as chaperones and to join in other community activities. Empower Up staff will work closely with families to provide support and resources to their empowered youth.
Empower Up Summer Program
We are excited to introduce our Bullying-Free, Literacy, STEM, and SEL innovative youth programs for families of children K-5th grades. Summer Program is designed to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for children and parents alike. Our goal is to help prevent learning loss while building character, cultivating success at school, home, and in our community.
