Creating a Safe Space
Witnessing her daughter's cyberbullying nightmare and the lack of support, Tonya founded Empower Our Youth Foundation. This Columbus-based organization (ages 5-17) creates a safe space for youth and families, offering anti-bullying resources, mental health support, and educational programs to empower, engage, and encourage them to thrive.
Here's how we champion the well-being of our youth:
- Empowering them with skills to prevent and overcome bullying, both online and offline.
- Engaging their minds through Literacy/STEM programs, igniting curiosity, and fostering a love for learning.
- Encouraging mental health awareness and providing resources to cultivate emotional well-being.
- Creating a safe space for open communication and community engagement.
- Equipping families with knowledge and support to navigate bullying and access suicide prevention resources.
- Championing them through the official reporting process of bullying incidents.
